Chuck Saunders gave a talk about charity today, it was thought provoking. He suggested that we can do small acts of kindness every day, for example...shovelling a driveway, writing a note, baking cookies, or as his MTC companion did...shine his shoes every day. This is very much in line with what I'm trying to do with this 365 days of service blog. What I found interesting is that chuck is still talking about the kindness his MTC companion did...and this is 15 years later!
I want to be kinder :)
Today's act of kindness: Kathy Steele texted me an hour before church and asked if I would teach her primary class...I, of course, accepted.
My initial reaction was actually disappointment that I would miss Sunday school and relief society, but I caught myself and responded by thanking her for asking me, I know I will enjoy it!
During my lesson, I asked the primary girls to each share one act of kindness they have done recently...it was delightful to hear such good things that thee girls are involved with.
